IBC Cleaning System

The cleaning of IBCs is a common application in many the chemical industry. There will often be hundreds or even thousands of IBC's containing raw chemical ingredients in the warehouse. Often, specialist external companies are used to take away and clean IBCs. The IBC Cleaning Station system from SNP allows for the quick, safe, and effective cleaning of IBCs in house.

This system consists of:

  • A powerful tank cleaning head. Either a rotary jet cleaner (Orbitor Eco) or a spinning tank cleaner (RSB25)
  • A variable-speed pump
  • A specially designed positioning arm that holds the tank cleaner in place and fastens to the IBC lid
  • Hose and connectors

Both systems are able to handle a wide variety of chemical environments with a high-quality 316 stainless steel design. Operation

The IBC cleaner is incredibly simple to operate. In 5 steps almost any residue can be cleaned in a matter of minutes or even seconds.

  1. Simply screw the positioning pipe onto the IBC lid
  2. Connect to the pump
  3. Connect the pump to a suitable water supply
  4. Turn on the pump
  5. Turn off when the IBC is clean

Cleaning times

The time it takes to clean an IBC will depend on the nature of the residue and the type of cleaning head deployed. The rotary jet fast cycle cleaning head will clean the IBC some 2-3 times faster than the spinning head. The two videos below show the cleaning action of both types on three different residues. The Orbitor Eco can also been seen tackling a sticky residue such as peanut butter.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Most residues will be cleaned by the RSB spinner in under 10 minutes.

For the Orbitor Eco, this will often be halved with even tough residues like peanut butter being cleaned in 5 minutes or less.
