What is product and conveyor washing?
It covers any automated process where products, belts or machinery pass under nozzles or spray bars to be washed, rinsed or sanitised. Common uses include produce washing, bottle and container washing, parts washing and conveyor cleaning.

Choosing spray nozzles for cleaning
Spray washing works within the Sinner’s Circle: chemical action, time, mechanical action and heat. Nozzle choice mainly affects two of them. Impact increases mechanical action and high flow rates deliver more fluid, which supports chemical action.

Spray bars for conveyors

Conveyor sanitising
The Conveyor-Mate™ from Lafferty Equipment is a Clean-in-Place system for sanitising conveyor belts. It uses mains-pressure Venturi dilution to blend chemical concentrate into the water stream, with adjustable spray arms for wide, even coverage. Spray bars can be mounted to reach the top and bottom of the belt and the rollers within, and models are available for liquid spray or, with compressed air added, clinging foam.
